About the project «SCUBE-ICT»

The SCUBE-ICT project or «Strategic Cooperation between Ukraine, Belarus and EU in Information and Communication Technologies» is a part of the Seventh Framework Programme in the form of measures to support expansion of the cooperation in information and communication technologies (ICT) on the pan-European level. SCUBE-ICT included in the EECA cluster of the projects for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (see www.eeca-ict.eu) together with projects ISTOK-SOYUZ and EXTEND.
 
Site www.iai.gov.ua/projects/scube-ict created for information support and rapid deployment of information via the Internet in parallel with the main project site: www.scube-ict.eu.
 
The main aim of the project is an evolution of the mutually beneficial partnerships between ICT researchers and industrial actors from Ukraine, Belarus and the European Union (EU). The mission of the SCUBE-ICT project contain three additional goals, the following below.

  1. A detailed assessment of the cooperation potential between the EU, Belarus and Ukraine in the field of ICT.
  2. Increased number of joint research and development of ICT organizations from Ukraine, Belarus and the EU.
  3. Promotion of policy dialogues on research and development of ICT between the EU, Belarus and Ukraine.

 
Project Start Date: January 1, 2009; duration - 2 years. Number of organizations carrying out the project: 10 (3 from Ukraine, 3 from Belarus and 4 from 3 EU countries — Greece, Luxembourg and Spain).
