Information and Communication Technologies

Definition

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a term that covers all advanced technologies in manipulating and communicating information. ICT within the SCUBE-ICT project defined in the «ICT Work Programme 2009-10» as a part of Seventh Framework Programm for research and technological development in the Europe.

Taxonomy of relevant research

The ICT Work Programme under FP7 is divided into seven Challenges of strategic interest to European society, plus research into «Future and emerging technologies» and support for horizontal actions, such as international cooperation.
